Readers’ Impressions

Reader's Impressions of the personal memoir Opening to the Mystery Unfolding from a Limited Self

Nancy: I really love this. I think it’s clear and easy to understand. The struggle to conform to societal expectations is a barrier to realizing our true nature.

Arlene B. ~ California

I love it, Nancy… There is a tenderness and a holding in your writing…also your awareness of the inner terrain… medicine for those drawn to it. Normalizing the human condition…a release from entrapment in the normal loops and roles…the common ground of Radiant Presence beneath and permeating and inclusive of all. The very best with your venture. Well done ☆♡☆

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for your loving sharing.
Beautiful how you describe life without filters of the mind.
I had experiences like these too in nature…mostly after surrendering in a period of difficulty.
Thank you for Being, thank you for sharing in compassion

Nancy,

Looking forward to reading the whole thing. Good luck with the finishing touches.

A hug to you for sharing your vignette. The transmission is your “objective art”….and evoked a clear connection to you and your ability to bring the Work into Life. “There is coming to the line, stepping up to presence in a time and space fully beyond my own effort….” JGB

Well done, Nancy!

Dearest Nancy,

I am very thankful to you my Dear Friend for sharing your vignette with me on my request. In fact I feel honored! I read it with love, considering these are the words of an enlightened soul, a writer, and a Friend.
Every word inspired me, every phrase that you used carries a message, as you expressed it in your own unique style ….. like exploring the “Unexplored possibilities”, a journey of a curious one “on a quest for meaning”, how a brave and free spirited young woman “attempts to break free from societal expectations” whilst explaining the words of Joseph Campbell that “bravery needed for transformative journeys, a willingness to open to the unknown” and eventually how “Realization unfolds with a shift in perspective” and how one experiences “This silent presence, ever-present .. not bound by conceptual understanding” as we practice “examining the me-character” …..
You have said it all so beautifully.

With Love,
Sajid S. ~ Pakistan

Dearest Nancy,

I understand the efforts you make to bring your book to life. I have been doing this for 30 years with the Work books, and it requires such devotion, to proceed through emotional ups and downs, and learning about yourself, with each process.
In Greece, when a book has been ready to be published, we say, “Kalotaksido”, meaning, for the book to have a good trip! So, this is my heartfelt wish for yours!

Much love,
Maria A. ~Athens, Greece

Dear Nancy,

Your writing and the expression of thoughts and feelings are very beautiful. You are sharing the state of non duality and that of “Coming Home”.
This is also a process in Vipassana Meditation.
I thank you very much for sharing your experience.

Hearty greetings,
Pushpo R. ~ Germany

Thank you, Nancy,

The passage gave me goosebumps and a realisation of the profound effects of movements in the Gurdjieff Work. Very helpful information. Looking forward to the book.

Dear Nancy!

Your writing is so engaging!! It makes me want to read more and more and to share the journey with you. You have such a gift to bring the reader right into the reality you are describing. As you tell of sitting on the bench, I could feel the sun and the wind and experience the sensation of presence.
There will be so many questions I’m sure after I read your book. I am fascinated about learning how you became interested in the Gurdjieff Work and then in nonduality. Was the transition from one to the other seamless? Were you interested in spirituality as a young child? I’m sure these and many other questions will be included in your memoir.
Looking forward to reading your book, Nancy!

Love,
Chris B. ~ Timmins, Ontario, Canada

Hi Nancy,

So good to read your vignette. Your experience is beautiful and wonderfully written. Congratulations on your book! A great accomplishment to bring a book into the world! Looking forward to seeing it published ❤️
I appreciate your insight too. It’s always interesting to see what we hold as truths and then find a different perspective.
I’ll be watching for your book!

Hugs,
Carrie S. ~ Maine

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for sharing this piece. (I could also thank you for sharing this “peace”.)
I am right there with you as you describe your experience. Your writing is thoughtful, clear and I felt a sense of ease as I read through your descriptions.
I believe your intention to offer nuggets of insight has clearly been met—from this piece alone, the “perfume” of your sharing is lingering. I know I will contemplate what you’ve shared throughout the day, and will likely come back and reread it.
Thank you for sharing, Nancy.
I look forward to reading your book when it is available.

Love,
Cynthia W. ~ Colorado

Hi Nancy,

Thank you so much for sharing this deeply vulnerable and powerful work.
I felt like I was right there with you. I have some knowledge of constellation work, and I found your writing to be both insightful and well-crafted.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for sharing an excerpt & BEing in touch! What a reminder! Inspiration definitely to keep on living with presence and attention as much as possible within daily occupations and activities.
With warm regards from Slovenia – Mitja D.

Dear Nancy,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the vignette you shared with me, Nancy.
The subject of ‘no-doer’ is one I have never delved deeply into but yet there has always been a desire. But because of that desire, I paid attention to the process you experienced in that shift of perception. You noted it was difficult to articulate, yet for the reader, you’ve done a good job.
Even in the small portion I was reading, I could almost taste your experience of seeing the world in a whole new way, and how you savored the amazement of this momentary, yet clear ‘seeing’ Your writing is very impressive Nancy, and leaves one with the desire to delve deeper for themself.
Thank you again for sharing it with me …

Sharon T. ~ N. Carolina

Nancy, I think that anyone reading your passages might let out a breath and say, Yes……I will try this.

Cheers,

Thanks, Nancy. Intriguing. This invites the Reader forward….what’s next, we wonder!

Hi Nancy,

I’m glad to hear that you are closer to publishing the book. I can only imagine how fulfilling that must be.
This vignette from your teen years—it seems like there was much self awareness for someone that young. It made me reflect on my own teen years. I was left wanting to read more.

Janet B. ~ Massachusetts

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for sharing this passage with me. It’s beautifully written and evocative in some ways for me.
To know that there’s no “decider” is very relaxing. “I” can allow life to unfold however it likes.

Much love,
