Meet Nancy D. Bennett

Meet the story of how that name, that self, slowly dissolved into something vast, untouched.
From the beginning, there was a longing—and a confusion—that had no name. A difficult childhood planted seeds of spiritual inquiry. Throughout this unfolding, I followed many rivers of seeking, struggled with many questions, and stumbled in confusion through many identities.
Eventually, after the grace of many teachers and the unraveling of belief, one being — whose generosity and clarity changed everything — helped me recognize what had always been: the vast, untouched presence that needs no name.
I’d studied psychology and counseling, earning degrees from the University of Oregon and Seattle University. My work in psychotherapy and body-based modalities helped illuminate the subtle ways we identify with an imagined self.
But my spiritual search began long before formal education. At twenty-one, I stumbled upon the Gurdjieff Work in San Francisco—a doorway into deeper inquiry. Years later, I immersed myself in constellation systems work, a phenomenological approach that reveals hidden patterns of belonging and fate.
Around 2009, a pivotal recognition emerged: the presence of nondual awareness. The constellation work and this recognition began to weave together, gradually dissolving the sense of separation and revealing Reality as it IS.
I live in the Pacific Northwest, where stillness and sky continue to teach.
This book is a reflection of that unfolding—not just mine, perhaps yours as well. If something in these words resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
